What are Google News Alerts?

Google News Alerts are a service that allows you to receive notifications whenever new content appears on Google News for your specified topic or keywords. You can set up as many alerts as you want, and you can choose how often you want to receive the notifications. This can be a great way to stay up-to-date on your favorite topics.

How can Google News Alerts help you?

Google News Alerts are email updates of the latest relevant Google results (web, news, etc.) based on your choice of query or topic.

How to set up Google News Alerts

Google News Alerts is a service that sends you email updates of the latest news on your chosen topics. You can use Google News Alerts to track breaking news, as well as receive updates on your favorite sports teams, celebrities, and more. In this article, we’ll show you how to set up Google News Alerts.

Step 1: Go to Google News

The first step is to go to [Google News](https://news.google.com/?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US:en) and sign in with your Google account. If you don’t have a Google account, you can create one for free.

Once you’re signed in, you’ll see the Google News homepage. Here, you can customize your newsfeed by topic or location. You can also search for specific articles using the search bar at the top of the page.

Step 2: Create a new alert

To create a new alert, click on the “Settings” icon (it looks like a cog) in the top right corner of the page and select “Manage alerts” from the drop-down menu.

On the “My alerts” page, click on the “Create new alert” button.

Step 3: Enter your search terms

In the “Search query” field, enter the terms that you want to be alerted about. For example, if you want to be alerted about stories about coffee, you would enter “coffee” into this field.

You can also specify additional options for your alert, such as language, region, and how often you want to be notified about new stories. When you’re finished, click on the “Create alert” button.

Step 2: Search for a topic

Now that you have a Google account, you can begin setting up your Google News Alerts. To do so, head to the Google News website and sign in with the Google account you just created.

On the Google News homepage, you’ll see a search bar in the top-right corner. Type in a keyword or phrase that you want to receive alerts about and press Enter on your keyboard.

For example, if you want to receive alerts about the latest news on technology, you would type “technology” into the search bar.

Step 3: Create your alert

Enter your search terms. You can use Boolean operators like “OR” and “-” to fine-tune your results.

For example, if you want to track news about coffee growers in Africa, enter:

coffee -tea site:nytimes.com OR site:washingtonpost.com OR site:wsj.com
You can also include other search terms, like “fair trade,” to get more specific results.

Next to “How often,” choose how often you want to receive results. Your choices are: As-it-happens, Once a day, or Once a week.

How to make the most out of Google News Alerts

Google News Alerts are a great way to stay up-to-date on the latest news about your industry, competitor, or product. You can set up multiple alerts for different topics and receive an email each time a new article is published. But how can you make the most out of Google News Alerts? In this article, we’ll give you some tips.

Check your email regularly

If you want to stay on top of the latest news, you need to check your email regularly. Google News Alerts will send you an email whenever a new story pops up that matches your search terms.

You can choose to receive these alerts as they happen, or you can set them up to be delivered once a day or once a week. If you’re getting too many emails, you can adjust the settings to only receive thealerts that are most important to you.

To get started, go to the Google News Alerts page and type in the topics that you want to be alerted about. You can be as specific or general as you like. Then, choose how often you want to receive these alerts and where you want them delivered. You can have them sent to your Gmail account, or you can have them delivered to another email address.

Once you’ve subscribed, make sure to check your email regularly so that you don’t miss any important news stories!

Set up multiple alerts

While one Google News Alert might be all you need, you can also set up multiple alerts to get different kinds of news delivered right to your inbox. For example, you might want to set up an alert for your business’s name as well as your industry terms and the names of your competitors. You could also set up an alert for your city or region to get the latest local news.

To create multiple Google News Alerts, just go to the Google News Alerts page and enter your search term(s). Then, click the ‘Create Alert’ button. On the next page, you’ll have the option of setting up additional alerts.

Manage your alerts

You can change the settings for your Google Alerts at any time. To do this, go to your “Alerts dashboard.” From there, you can:
-Edit the search terms for an alert
-Change how often you receive alerts
-Choose the types of sites you want to include or exclude
-Select how many results you want to receive
-Choose to get your results as they happen, or once a day or week

You can also delete an alert entirely from your Alerts dashboard.
