Roger Ailes is the CEO of Fox News. He was born in Warren, Ohio on May 15, 1940. Ailes began his career in television as a production assistant at WNBK-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. He rose through the ranks of the network, becoming the executive producer of The Mike Douglas Show in 1967 and the vice president of programming for NBC in 1974.
Ailes left NBC in 1976 to become the president of Roger Ailes Communications, a television consulting firm. He joined Fox News as its founding CEO in 1996. Under his leadership, Fox News has become one of the most-watched cable news networks in the United States.
