Who left Fox 13 News Utah?
Fox 13 News in Utah is experiencing some turnover, with three on-air personalities exiting the station in recent weeks.
The departures include morning news anchor Abbey Smith, evening news anchor Erin Cox and sports director Dan Russell. All three had been with Fox 13 for several years.
Smith announced her departure on Twitter, saying she was leaving to pursue other opportunities. Cox also announced her departure on social media, saying she was moving to another state. Russell’s departure was first reported by the website Utah Media Group.
Fox 13 News director Tim Burke confirmed the departures in an email to The Deseret News, but did not elaborate further.
“We wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” Burke said.
Why did they leave?

The first to leave was Morgan Saxton, who had been with the station for three years. She announced her departure on Twitter, saying that she was “grateful for the opportunity” but it was time for her to “move on to new adventures.”
