In the wake of these allegations, the network has made a number of high-profile firing, including that of its longtime chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.
Here’s a look at who was fired from Fox News today:
Bill O’Reilly: On April 19, 2017, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly was let go from the network after it was revealed that he had settled several sexual harassment lawsuits. O’Reilly had been with Fox News since 1996 and was one of the network’s top-rated hosts.
Roger Ailes: On July 21, 2016, Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes resigned from the network amid sexual harassment allegations. Ailes had been with Fox News since its founding in 1996.
Gretchen Carlson: On July 6, 2016, Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Roger Ailes. Carlson’s lawsuit ultimately led to Ailes’ resignation from the network.
Megyn Kelly: On January 3, 2017, it was announced that Megyn Kelly would be leaving Fox News for NBC News. Kelly had been with Fox News since 2004.
Shepard Smith: On October 11, 2017, it was announced that Shepard Smith would be leaving Fox News after 23 years with the network. Smith is one ofFox News’ original hires and is one of the few openly gay people working at the conservative-leaning network.
